Bb World 2007 Presentation

e3: Extend, Enrich & Ennervate Your Content

Short description

Enriching course material through the use of free web services such as social bookmarking, image sharing, RSS feeds, and digital authorship tools such as blogs and wikis.

Detailed description

Advances in the past few years have resulted in numerous free and/or open-source tools being made available which lend themselves well to our teaching and learning endeavors. As learners take more ownership of their educational pursuits, social software such as bookmarking services (del.icio.us, Diigo) and image sharing applications (Flickr), as well as authorship tools such as blogs, wikis and podcasts, have changed the way we approach teaching.

This presentation intends to highlight a few specific examples of integrating these technologies into the curriculum.
